- During early hours of today, 26th March, 2020, the executives of GECA met with the Deputy
Managing Director of ECG, Mr. Adzidzornu and one other top official of the ECG.
The main Agenda was to outline some development at the ECG informed by emerging trends of
the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana.
These are the major developments of note: 
- ● All workers of the ECG have been divided into 2 sections. Therefore running on weekly
shifts.
● There will be no issuance of materials for external works.
● Major maintenance works have been postponed until further notice
● Until national lockdown, works that are 90% complete are to be continued whereas
works below 90% of completion stages are to come to a halt until calm is restored in the
country.
● Injection Works are to continue until further notice.
● No new development works will be approved within this period.
● 3rd party contractors are to desist from visiting the ECG offices unless very urgent.
I hereby urge all members to accord these new developments with the relevance it deserves
and abide by it.
